In Hungary there are more than thirty monastic collections that survived the vicissitudes of history throughout the centuries. This title aims to present the most impressive pieces of these monastic collections, choosing the most representative litugical objects, the finest pieces of goldsmith’s craft, textiles, pictures and statues, presenting them according to the role they play in the religious ceremonies.
